What do I do if my bike needs servicing?

If your bike needs servicing, you can contact one of the Lease a Bike specialist dealers. Simply make an appointment by phone or e-mail.

Important: Always state that it is a Lease a Bike bicycle and have your contract ID to hand. You can find your contract ID in the Lease a Bike portal under ‘Contracts’.

Who carries out the maintenance work?

You can visit one of our 6,700 affiliated specialist bike shops for maintenance, repairs and tyre changes.

Would you like to know which specialist dealer is near you? Visit our dealer search. You can visit any Lease a Bike dealer, so it doesn't have to be the same shop where you bought your bike.

Are any maintenance costs covered?

Depending on the inspection option you choose in the all-round protection package, the inspection costs are covered. You decide on an inspection option depending on your usage behavior once you have found your dream bike. Your company can limit the choice of options.

  • Basic inspection: 2 inspections at € 85 gross are covered*.

  • Premium inspection: 3 inspections at €85 gross are covered*

  • All-inclusive inspection: 3 inspections at €115 gross are covered*

You can find the inspection option you have selected in the Lease a Bike portal under 'Contracts' > 'Contract details'.

Have you exceeded your annual budget for the inspection? Then pay the difference directly to the specialist bike shop.

*Note: A maximum of one inspection can be claimed per leasing year. The costs of the inspections are capped: The inspection in the basic and premium variants can be billed up to a gross amount of € 85.00. The costs in the all-inclusive variant can be billed up to €115.00 gross each. If the available budget is lower, the inspection will be invoiced up to this amount. Any additional inspection costs are to be borne by the lessee or user.

What costs are covered by the maintenance package?

The options for inspection and wear and tear cover repairs, maintenance and/or service work caused by wear and tear that affect the safety of use or the functionality of the leased bike.

In addition, your company bike is covered by inspections* and wear and tear repairs that are necessary for operational safety. The repair of damage is not covered by the inspection and wear and tear option, but is covered by the damage protection. Read more about this under the heading 'Damage and theft'.
